Our Programs

Manners matter at every age, in every situation.

Courteous Kids

(Ages 4 to 7)

Courteous Kids is a fun-filled, attention-grabbing program for teaching etiquette to children ages 4-7. The program empowers children through age-appropriate activities that bring good manners to life, building character and self-esteem..

The three parts of Courteous Kids include:

  • ABCs of Meeting, Greeting, and Saying Goodbye
  • Little Things We Say and Do
  • 1, 2, 3, Let's Eat!

Children learn self-respect and respect for others, kindness, and civility through group activities and illustrated workbooks. The goal is for children to learn what they need and to practice what they learn. This program is truly a gift to your child, engendering confidence, poise, and self-esteem that will last a lifetime.

Parental reinforcement and family involvement is encouraged.

Everyday Etiquette for Children

(Ages 8 to 12)

The purpose of this class is to teach students that old-fashioned, traditional values do have a place in modern-day society. A foundation of good manners presents students with an invaluable opportunity to learn and practice leadership skills that will last a lifetime.

Sample topics include:

  • Social and Communication Skills
  • Handshaking for All Ages
  • Introductions Made Easy
  • Self-Respect and Respect for Others
  • Telephone Etiquette

Dining Skills for Children

(Ages 8 to 12)
Students learn to feel comfortable and self-assured in social situations. They will learn host and guest duties, the ABCs of dining, the American and Continental styles of dining, the etiquette of dining out, and the importance of a prompt thank-you note. When possible, a tutorial lunch will be offered.

This program teaches courtesy and respect through role-playing exercises and illustrated workbooks.

Teen Etiquette for Today

(Ages 13 to 17)
Continuing to build confidence and self-assuredness, these lessons will serve the student well as he/she is introduced to academic interviews, formal occasions, and employment. Topics include introductions, telephone protocol, common courtesies, etiquette in public places, preparing for job interviews, public speaking, and the importance of first impressions. Students learn that the doors of opportunity will open when good manners are practiced. All students receive an illustrated workbook to use and keep for future reference.

Dining Skills for Teens

(Ages 13 to 17)
This program fosters character education and self-esteem to empower the student through knowledge of proper dining protocol. A knowledge of etiquette gives teens many advantages as they prepare for their adult years. In this course, students learn social etiquette: how to dine with ease and confidence, American and Continental dining styles, host and guest duties, and the impact of a prompt thank-you note. Students receive an illustrated workbook to consult whenever needed. A dining tutorial will be offered when possible.

Professional Business Savvy

(Ages 18 to 22)
The Etiquette Edge is key for today's young adults entering the competitive, professional arena. Good manners may not guarantee an interview, a job, or a promotion, but lack of such skills could jeopardize all of these. Upon completion of this program, students will be at ease as a guest or a host worldwide. Students will learn how to make an entrance and work the room, handshaking — the ultimate greeting — and making proper introductions. This course is ideal for the young professional who knows that social confidence is as much an asset as technical knowledge. Students receive an illustrated workbook to refer to when needed.

Professional Dining Savvy

(Ages 18 to 22)
This program prepares students for the "dining" interview and/or business luncheon or dinner. Students will be comfortable and at ease when faced with a multitude of silverware and glassware choices, with napkin etiquette, with toasting savvy, and with styles of dining, both American and Continental. This is a crucial course for those who plan on entertaining clients or simply dining with their peers. Students receive an illustrated workbook for future reference.
